Cheltenham, Renovations and Dad.

Day 54
26/7/12

Today was the first show fror Three Tall Women, a show which Becky is acting in, and I have a cameo non-speaking part in. I arrived in Cheltenham last Thursday evening, to glorious weather, and a mile walk into the town.

En route to the theatre, there were a few things that caught my eye - one was a graffiti'd underpass, and the other was a newly built bridge canvassed by the hazy, whispy blue and white sky.

The show was a great success, and also I travelled down there again on the next day - and now I am in love with Cheltenham. It almost seemed like a mini 'Bath' (the place not the basin), as much of the the northern part of the south-west still has roman architecture, like Cirencester for example.

Here are a couple of captures for day 54.

Day 57
July 29th

Finally...

After what I thought would be a 24 hour job in May stripping my wallpaper to paint my bedroom walls, only to find out that my walls may have been made out of Jelly, it is now finally complete, and finally moved back in, after about 11 weeks of graft, frustration, cash and paint!

Here are some of the working shots I took this weekend.

Darren Roland, the man, the myth, the plasterer/carpenter/legend!

This is my fireplace... Quite enjoyed letting out some frustration on this concrete/tile structure!

 Ready to paint....

Ready to sleep now!!!!

As you can see, I do not like clutter... I wanted an art gallery theme, and am now ready to hang some masterpieces!!! After I have painted the radiator that is, although it is very 'modern art' if I leave it, saying 'you can never quite achieve perfection'. Or, 'I can't be arsed'.

Day 59
31/7/12

Dad.

RIP dad.

Is there anything further, father? A little Maguire in-joke!

Always missed, never forgotten.
