DAY 1
1/6/12
Inbetween doing some DIY today and drinking with my mother tonight, I visited the cashpoint. I knew I was out of cash, so subsequently would need some moulaaa.... It got me to thinking, how many times have I stood in front of this ugly plastic thing, that ultimately dictates what I can or cannot do.
I worked out that if the average person visits the cashpoint once a week for 50 years, they would stand in the vulnerable space of a supermarket car park, high street or petrol garage 2,400 times.
That is a lot of time to stand in front of a silly looking machine. Imagine how life would be be without an ATM.
Earlier today, in my buiding site/bedrooom, I managed to knock into an old window frame a wooden structure which I am quite proud of, which hopefully I can plasterboard straight over.. Hopefully it will be fine. If I have to take it down, my excuse will be that I'm an actor.
Tonight, I met my mates for a drink at the the local boozer. After they went, my mum was still there, and her mates went home too. It's nice to have a drink with your mum, especially when your both a bit tipsy. We talked about her sunday school days, when she was a lass, and memories from when she was young, there seemed to be so many stories. She asked me "what stories are you going to tell your children?" I feel like I don't have many sunday school esque stories, so felt a bit strange answering that question. I guess maybe one day young Maggie Maguire will find out what Papa used to get up to. Don't like being put on the spot.
Night all,
Happy June 1st!
