Day 3

3/6/12

Well its jubilee day today, and as expected - it was a real washout unfortunately... Was still a great turnout, good ol' british public have been stood out in the pouring rain. The opening of Tower Bridge was particularly emphatic though, me and Becky both enjoyed watching that from in a pub, as we needed some stodgy food after a few glasses of the red stuff last night.

The lengths that some businesses go to to milk the jubilee is funny. In the pub today there was a queenie cocktail, which was somehow red white and blue. Also there was a royal fishbowl, and 3 jagerbombs for a 5iver. I dont quite understand the relevance of that last one, but you get a free tiara if you have one od these novelty, luxury offers. Becky even had 3 different coloured straws in her coke, can you guess what they were?

We are attending a wedding reception of our friends tonight, i hope their day has been great despite the rain. We are staying at a hostel tonight in Stratford, in bunk beds which we have to make oirselves! Its like were travelling Asia again! Hopefully photos of us dolled up to come.

On a melancholy note, the mouse that i rescued last night sadly passed away in his sleep. He did eat some of the cheese we left him though. RIP Mr Jingles..

Hope you are enjoying the festivities wherever you are...

Much love xxx
